Founder

Dr. Saujanendra Swain, Founding Director of Sustain Savvy Research Foundation, is a seasoned development professional with over 25 years of expertise in sustainable agriculture, livelihoods, and grassroots empowerment. He has led impactful initiatives in climate resilience, WASH, women's entrepreneurship, and natural resource management, benefiting millions of rural and tribal families. With a Ph.D. in Botany, he has published 27 research papers and contributed to global development dialogues across 11 countries. A strong advocate of SHG-led growth, Dr. Swain is widely recognized for advancing community-driven, scalable solutions. His work spans policy advisory, CSR strategy, and institutional capacity-building. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Odia, he actively mentors government and nonprofit stakeholders across India.

Experienced in the preparation and implementation of micro-plans, natural resource management, and livelihood planning. Dr. Bibhu Santosh Behera

Dr. Bibhu Santosh Behera

Advisor

Dr. Bibhu Santosh Behera is an accomplished agricultural extension expert with a PhD from OUAT and global academic credentials including Zambia and IGNOU. He currently serves as a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the Ministry of Agriculture, GoI, coordinating digital agriculture efforts across 10 major states. Previously, as Project Manager–Agriculture for Odisha Livelihoods Mission, he led over 50 interventions benefiting 21 lakh households and 7 lakh SHGs. He has over 14 years of experience spanning academia, government, and development sectors, including leadership of Green College (GIZ-funded) and RTDC. Dr. Behera is recognized for pioneering organic farming, integrated farming clusters, and convergence with global institutions like CGIAR and the World Bank. His accolades include academic awards, national representation, and managing ₹500+ crore in agri-livelihood programs with impact across 314 blocks in Odisha.

Srikanta Ranjan Mohapatra

Mr. Mohapatra brings over 30 years of extensive experience in community medicine, rural health, WASH, mental and psychological well-being, menstrual hygiene, and adolescent health—particularly focusing on the nutritional needs of both adolescent boys and girls in tribal and rural regions of Odisha. His key target groups include children under 4 years, adolescents, and the elderly. He actively promotes holistic wellness through yoga, herbal medicines, balanced diets, and home remedies. A strong advocate for nutritional security, he raises awareness about malnutrition across rural and urban communities. His pioneering efforts include combatting sickle cell anemia, malaria, and tuberculosis at the grassroots level.

Prof. Smita Mishra Panda

Dr. Smita Mishra Panda is a Professor at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha, where she leads the Doctoral Programme and major research projects. She holds a Master’s in Social Anthropology from Delhi University and a Ph.D. in Development Planning and Gender Studies from AIT, Bangkok. With nearly 30 years of experience, her work focuses on gender and development, natural resource management, rural governance, and indigenous communities. She has held research positions at AIT (Thailand) and UNCRD (Japan), and taught at IRMA, as well as universities in Norway and Australia. Dr. Panda has presented widely at national and international forums and conducted research across India and Southeast Asia. Her publications include books with SAGE, Routledge, and Springer, covering governance, gender, and social inclusion. She is a respected scholar on gender equity, social policy, and marginalized communities

Mr. Nihar Ranjan Parida has over 18 years of experience in managing non-governmental organizations, with proven expertise in infrastructure management, project and field operations, logistics, community engagement, event coordination, record keeping, and archive management. He demonstrated these competencies during his tenure as estate manager at the M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation.
